What are your signs of spring ?? 

   Ever since I can remember, radio announcer-types would always trumpet the first sign of spring each year as listeners called into the station with their robin-sightings.   I'm not even sure robins actually leave for the winter.  No, there are more tell-tale signs to me than a red-breasted foul pecking worms through the frozen tundra. 

   There is the changing of the clocks.  The 50% off sale on long underwear at Zellers.  The first time a co-worker wears shorts to work.  The open toed shoe returns.  The  season is over for the Maple Leafs.  The Blue Jays season begins.  the first golf ranges open for practice.  The snow tires come off.  Street cleaners start cleaning up the winter mess on our roads.  Tax deadline approaches.  The ice leaves Midland Bay.  The skis are put back in storage.  Yes, birds start chirping.  Maple Syrup festivals abound.  The Cancer Society sells daffodils.  Flies, flies, flies.  Dog deposits appear from beneath their winter hiding place.  The dog sheds more.  The Mrs. starts cleaning windows, or asks you to do it.  Gas prices go higher.  First day without a jacket.

    But, for this guy, no other sign signifies the re-birth of seasons than......... THE MASTER'S.  Join me Friday morning on the Dock at 8:05 to explain why.
