Canada's Olympic Uniforms. Horrible.

Olympic talk. It has begun. We were talking this morning about how Bejing will shut down factories within a week and begin limiting highway traffic to improve air quality for the August Olympics. One might ask, if these are feasible plans why are we doing them just for the Olympics? Why not for the actual ability to breathe on all the other days? No? silly question? fine then.
We did mention that the media has begun commenting on Canada's national olympic uniforms. The term "clown suits" has been thrown around in the newspapers. I hadn't seen them yet, so I couldn't comment.

WHAT? Oh those poor Olympians. The dude in the front? With the swirleys? There isn't a maple leaf to be seen on there! Also....guy second from the right? Green? Green is not one of our national colours.

any of you looking to escape the real world??? find out what drug the designer of this uniform disaster is on. time to return to our ROOTS and dump this self-proclaimed expert.
has she never heard of the key to successful design???: LESS IS MORE! And to think this woman was paid to come up with this etch-a-sketch bomb.

Why are the uniforms not being made by a Canadian Company? HBC is US owned. We as a country owe it to our athletes to compete nbot only in the sports arena but as a well dressed team who can hold their heads up high. Shame on Tu Ly for such a ridiculous design. Was she trying to make fools of them in front of the world? If so she certainly accomplished her mission.

As a Canadian living in the US, you wait at times hours to see the Canadian team and every other year I was always proud that Canada was one of the best dressed teams. This year I was floored by the worst dressing of a Canadian team that I have had the misfortune to see in my 65 years of life. Where is the Maple Leaf. Heads need to roll. Let the Canadian people choose.

The Uniforms are only the beginning of a disappointing Summer Games for Canada. I really don't know why we spend the money on athletics. Other then a few momments Canada just does not produce at an acceptable level. we should focus on the winter Games and become the Greatest nation on earth in the winter Olympics.

I feel really sorry for the athelets that have devoted there lives to preparing for these Olympics, and this is the best we can do for them as far as a uniform? WE hardly help them out financialy either, but thats another story.

We had the best uniforms thanks to the folks at ROOTS and I guess we all got use to that great look.
We as the public have no say in how our athletes look, so I'm not watching the games this year or buying anything to support them.
