I know everyone is wondering about the healing progress of my finger.  As you will see below, the nail is half off and I can pry it up and look underneath.  I learned in our management meeting the other day that I can also slide thin things like pieces of paper and business cards under there too and see right through the nail.  Kind of neat, really.

All kidding aside, my fingernail will return and all will be normal again soon enough.  The other day, however, I saw something that was completely gross.  A friend of mine shared her fingernail incident with me and I almost threw up on site.  Long ago, she was in a car accident and almost lost the end of her finger.  Her nail was smashed and as a result it never came grew in properly.  The skin has hardened and looks like a bunch of chunks all mangles together.  It's quite sick actually and I have a hard time describing what I am looking at when I see it...
