Meredith's out. New bug is in.
I would like to discuss the beast I found this am.
Now, getting up at 4:30 is not easy at the best of times, but finding THIS in my makeup bag makes it downright trying.
Normally I would shrink this image. But not here, I feel it's important for you to see this guy in all his glory.
"Good Morning!" He seems to be saying to me. "I'm just hanging out here in this bag with all this eye shadow I found!"
If this is not a sign from above that makeup should not be worn at 4:30 am, I don't know what is......

Thats the name I gave one of these Mexican Centipedes when my son found one in our basement. I was so grossed out that I researched on the net what it was. Apparently they are a good bug(they eat other bugs, spiders, etc..)Still..... mutant alien bug as far as I concerned.

I deffinitly belive that the creature needs to be introduced to the backside of a running shoe & bring back Meredith back! (she is much better looking!) LOL

From searches on the internet this appears to be a House Centipede (Scutigera coleptrate). There are some really close-up photos around that you should not show Meredith.
One quote was "Because they eat household pests, house centipedes are considered among the most beneficial creatures that inhabit human dwellings. Benefits aside, because of their alarming appearance, frightening speed, and painful bite, few homeowners are willing to share a home with them."
Personally, I would have to side with Meredith and give you the silent treatment. My motto "kill first, photograph later" :-)
