Still a topic....gas....sigh

I need to inform you of a trend that has begun to take place in the studio in the early morning hours.  Roop is quite the skilled belcher.  Really, he's very proud.  It's actually quite amazing.  He's capable, not only of belching on command, but also over long periods of time, and almost through entire soliloquies.  His new favourite activity, right before turning on the mic switch, is to belch the station call letters, last three songs we played and a hearty morning salutation, before going live with the exact same message, just without the burp.  It caught us off guard at first, and we had trouble keeping straight faces, but now it's become common place.  Never one to accept mediocrity, he has now upped the anti.  The morning show has taken it upon themselves to teach me to do the same thing.  I feel the need to admit this, because things got out of hand on the Saturday Night Dock Party.

There was burping on the air.

Never in my broadcasting career did I think it would come to this.  Roop was explaining that he and Wicks have taken this on as their pet project.  I am no longer allowed to politely say "excuse me".  I instead, am reprimanded for not extending the belch and directed to try and talk whilst expelling.  Neither one of them will be able to rest until this "coveted" skill has been passed on to all members of the team.  It's a comrade thing.
