From Tragedy, Rises Dispute

Posted by: Blair Henatyzen in Weekends on

Don Sanderson (a 21 year-old defenceman for the Whitby Dunlops) died this past Friday. His death is the result of a fight that took place on the ice during a game. It is the fight that took his life.

Sanderson and Corey Fulton (a member of the opposing team) dropped gloves and helmets during the

3-D is back!

I found this article today in the Globe and Mail...

"DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has declared 2009 the year of 3-D films. He announced recently that, starting this month, all movies produced in his studio will be made in 3-D. Not only that, he trumpeted the technology as the third

All right, fine - I digress.

After reading my blog posting from yesterday a few loyal Dock listeners decided to email me about the power-outage that took place throughout Ontario today (Sunday, December 28).

We all know what it's like to see

Snow Tires or Placebos?

Posted by: Blair Henatyzen in Weekends on

Snow tires serve a purpose, I don't think there's any question that they help in bad winter conditions. However, I do think they are used a solution to a greater problem.

The best analogy I can draw is that the snow tire industry is very similar to that of the prescription drug industry. An

Those folks in the UK have always been forward thinkers...

Hopefully you've got nothing to hide.

We have all heard the stories.

Amsterdam's Red Light District has become an international symbol of liberalism. The sex, the marijuana, the absinthe.

We have all heard the stories.

Whatever you want, 24hrs a day - it's all yours. Well, that's the way it was until this past week.

Avery slams Phaneuf/Cuthbert

Posted by: Blair Henatyzen in Weekends on

 One word; ignorance.

The most amazing part about this situation is Sean Avery's ignorance.

If you haven't heard... this is how the situation played out:

"I'm really happy to be back in Calgary; I love Canada, I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in
