In response to your request, I'm sending you my own white knuckle flying experience. I was on a small craft aircraft (5 seater) flying between Saipan and Tinian in Micronesia a couple of years ago. I was suspicious when I saw an elderly lady walking with a cane across the tarmac. When she got into the pilot's seat I thought wow, this laday must be Amelia Earhart. This could not be good. We were to fly over the deepest and most shark infested waters in the world - the Marianas Trench. Albeit only a 5 minute flight, it was an interesting one. I jumped up onto the "well dimpled" wing and into the co-pilot seat. If I was going to die then I wanted to see where. Halfway over the trench the door flew off on my side. Not good! The man in the seat behind grabbed me in case my seat belt didn't hold and "Amelia" leaned over and patted my leg saying "don't worry dear, we're almost there". Now as a sidebar I should tell you that the name of the scuba diving company on this island is called "Abracadabra"? I can just imagine what their tag line might be "one minute you're here and the next you're gone". Needless to say, I didn't go diving on that trip. I arrived safely and tried not to think about having to take the return flight home. Hope you get some amusement out of this story. Love your show.
