THIS IS HOW THIS THING IS GOING DOWN....How the contest works and the rules...

1. Listeners will vote through a survey posted on the DOCK website.. www.thedockfm.com. Listeners will be asked to vote in each of 15 categories from lists provided by the DOCK. There will also be an “OTHER” option in case they wish to nominate someone not on the list.
2. To participate in The DOCK ROCK AWARDS, you must be a DOCK CLUB member. If you're not a member, enter now by clicking here. It's absolutely free.
3. The results will be compiled and narrowed down to ten nominees in each category. On MAY 16^th, we’ll kick off the Victoria Day weekend with the DOCK ROCK AWARDS. Each weekend will be a different category of award – running from 5pm to 12am Friday; 9am to 12am Saturday and from 9am to 8pm Sunday. Once each hour we’ll play a vignette about one of our ten nominees and then play a song by that nominee. Each of these ten songs will be a DOCK CLUB points opportunity. Members enter the title of the song or the artist to get points. Points can be used to buy entries (ballots) for other various prizes in the DOCK CLUB.
4. Listeners vote for their favourite of the ten nominees by logging onto the DOCK CLUB rewards site and voting through the survey section. Every listener who votes through the survey section of the DOCK CLUB site are entered into a draw to win a 2009 PONTIAC VIBE from GEORGIAN PONTIAC. They will only be entered by voting through the rewards site. Listeners have the potential of being entered into the PONTIAC VIBE draw a total of FIFTEEN times if they vote in every category, every week.
5. Listeners can also call in during the weekend and vote for their favourite on air, HOWEVER, they will not be included in the draw process.
6. Each week all those listeners who answer the survey will be placed into a draw for the weekly prize(s). This weekly winner will be drawn on the Roop, Wix and Meg show on Friday mornings.
7. Listeners can vote as soon as the survey goes up – survey will be up for ONE WEEK. From 5pm Friday to midnight the following Thursday. Voting in the top ten will begin on Wednesday, May 14^th and close at 11:59PM Wednesday August 27^th.
8. The DOCK ROCK awards will culminate on Labour Day weekend when the results of each weekend’s surveys are revealed. Songs from all ten nominees will be played each hour and at the “end” of each hour the winner will be revealed for each category. The draw for the GRAND PRIZE will be done on TUESDAY, September 2^nd during the morning show with ROOP, WIX and MEG.

1) The Dock Rock Awards contest (“Dock Rock Awards”) is conducted by 104.1 The Dock FM, owned by Larche Communications Inc. (“The Dock”).

2) No fee or purchase is required to participate. Contests are open to all Ontario citizens 19 years of age or older, except:
a) employees, relatives, associates and volunteers of THE DOCK, the Sponsors and the Judges.

3) All Contest winners will be required to answer a skill testing mathematical question.

4) Prizes must be claimed with 30 days of winning.

5) THE DOCK is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen or misappropriated entries.

6) Dock Club member names are encouraged to vote weekly on www.thedockfm.com.

7) Entrants will take part in a draw (“Draw”) to be held September 2, 2008 during the Roop, Wix and Meg morning show.

8) Winners must accept prizes as awarded. There will be no transfer and substitution of prizes except as necessary due to availability in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. There will not be any substitute tickets/passes in the event of a show cancellation beyond the control of THE DOCK.

a)Prizes will be given away each following Friday after the specialty weekend during the Roop, Wix & Meg show.

b) Winners will be drawn from all entries received through the SURVEY section of the DOCK CLUB rewards program. I.E. If the listener votes in the Survey, they will be entered into the draw for the weekly prize AND receive an entry into the draw for the GRAND PRIZE 2009 Pontiac Vibe.

c) Other prizes will be awarded through the SWEEPSTAKES section of the DOCK CLUB Rewards site. It is up to the individual listener to trade points for entries into these draws.

d) The 2009 Pontiac Vibe to be awarded is the same vehicle that will appear at station events, remotes and on location. NO SUBSTITUTIONS. It is charcoal gray and will have been driven to and from station events, etc., previous to it being awarded. ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST. The vehicle may have as many as 6000kms on the odometer before being awarded.

9) Winners consent to the use of their name, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image on video tape for publicity purposes in all mediums carried out by The Dock, without payment or compensation.

10) Winners must sign a release form that hereby indemnifies, releases and forever discharges The Dock, prize suppliers and all sponsors, along with their respective affiliates, employees, representatives and agents, and their respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns from:

a) any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action, costs and payments whatsoever for damages, loss or injury howsoever arising as a result of entering and participating in the Dock Rock Awards; and

b) any breach, violation, or non-performance of the terms, covenants and obligations on the part of the Qualifier to be observed or performed as said out herein; and

c) the act of any third party acting independently of The Dock.

11) The Dock FM reserves the right to: (i) substitute any portion of the grand prizes with prizes of equal value; and (ii) terminate or withdraw this contest at any time, for any reason whatsoever.

12) This Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal Laws and Regulations.
